This is a blog created for Asian men about Asian men.
It has long been a desire of mine to create a website that focused on my culture, those people who share my culture, and those people interested in my culture.
One of the most interesting things I have found in life is the number of people from a non-Asian background who have either shown an interest in me purely on the fact I am Asian or struggled to converse with me on the basis of my race.
Often this has occurred on the dating scene, but it has also been something that I have encountered in the workplace and on the sporting field and it is something that I have always wanted to create a blog about in order to address many of these issues.
As a lover of white women, I have had many experiences in the world of dating where my dates have shown a reluctance to get to know me, have made assumptions based on my race or encounters have been filled with moments of casual racism. This is where I feel like my experiences may be able to help others.
A little bit about me.
My name is William, and I was born and raised in Queens, New York. I am a 29-year-old, professional Asian male and have been dating my caucasian female partner Amy for the past 3 years. We moved to south-east Asia this past year thanks to a job opportunity and it is due to the happy experience that I have had since I arrived here that I am now realising just how difficult it was to be an Asian man in the US. Especially a single one!
I hope you find some interesting information and advice on this blog and that life, especially your dating life, becomes a little bit easier as a result. I look forward to talking to you real soon.
